Accredited Qualifications
Malearn offers accredited qualifications and short courses to local residents and childcare businesses. Courses in Early Years, Education, Safeguarding, First Aid, and Functional Skills. Flexible delivery: online, workplace, and classroom
Our qualifications are Ofqual regulated and they are accredited by Training Qualifications UK (TQUK) or Highfield qualifications.
Our Trainers, Assessors, and IQAs bring a wealth of experience from education, quality assurance, and childcare roles. Learners benefit from:
- Direct access to an allocated Assessor
- Regular tutorials, workplace visits, and ongoing support
- Face-to-face assessment in their work environment (for Early Years and Childcare qualifications)

Our Story
Founded by Martina Mullings, an experienced childcare professional with over 20 years in the education sector. Malearn combines training and childcare under one roof. Martina’s background as an Early Years consultant, inspector and senior standards verifier has shaped Malearn’s focus on quality, safety, and learner success.

Our Own After School and Holiday Clubs
Alongside our training programmes, Malearn also operates Ofsted-registered
after-school and holiday clubs
across multiple boroughs. Our clubs provide safe, inclusive childcare for children aged 4–11, including SEND support and funded places through the HAF programme. We deliver a mix of creative activities, sports, workshops, and healthy food programmes to ensure every child can learn, play, and thrive.
Management Schemes
In addition to delivering our own after-school and holiday clubs, Malearn also offers a management service for Ofsted-registered out-of-school provision. This includes after-school clubs and holiday schemes for children aged 4–11.
We manage staffing, compliance, and safeguarding — including enhanced DBS checks for all staff — to ensure that children are happy, safe, and well cared for. Our teams provide a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities, alongside healthy snacks and meals.
With an experienced and qualified staff team, we build strong relationships with children, families, and school staff, working closely with schools to safeguard and protect every child.
